Where Curaçao is
Curaçao lies in the southern Caribbean, just off the coast of Venezuela and outside the hurricane belt. It is a long, mostly flat island of about 64 kilometres from end to end.
Getting there
Direct flights arrive from the Netherlands, North America and South America, and cruise ships dock in Willemstad. The airport sits on the north side, a few minutes from our office.
Good to know
An autonomous country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, about 12 degrees north of the equator, which is why it is warm and sunny the whole year.
Island guides
Nearly all of it needs a car
The beaches, the restaurants and the viewpoints on this page are spread across the island, and public transport does not reach most of them. Renting locally is also cheaper than the names you know from the airport.
